Riccaria? Valardo ? Riccardo Scamarcio and Valeria Golino Need a Cute Couple Name like the Hollywood Stars Have

Riccardo Scamarcio and Valeria Golino are Italy’s version of Demi and Ashton. The age differece between Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher is a little greater than that of Riccaria ( or do you like Valardo? ), not much, about two years. Valeria (she’s 45) is one of Italy’s most successful actresses, having made dozens of movies, including ones made out of Italy like Rain Man and Frida. Riccardo, 32, is also a big success, best supporting actor for his role in Mio Fratello è Figlio Unico (My Brother is an Only Child ) at Italy’s version of the Oscars, the David di Donatello awards. A dozen years or so doesn’t mean much between two mature adults when the older is the man – It’s 2011. We really have a problem when the woman is the “senior”?

I think i do, I can’t help it. I don’t know why and I’m not going to defend myself. Who cares what I think anyway. I’m no more comfortable with the older men/ younger women scenario ( Tom Cruise + Katie Holmes = yuck. )

Anyway, it makes for gossip in Italy just like it does in the US. Both couples go to a lot of trouble to proclaim eternal love for one another. Both guys, Riccardo and Ashton have both recently been rumored to be having affairs with younger women. Valeria and Demi look fabulous for their age but I guess people are just waiting for the age difference to catch up with them.

Demi has kids but Valeria doesn’t – she said she doesn’t want to be known as just a women with a young boyfriend or a woman without kids. Of course she shouldn’t – but it might be inevitable. Is Valeria just a (hold on, I’m about to use two words I despise) cougar with a boy-toy?

I wonder if this will ever be a non-issue.
