There are a few reasons to pay attention to 28 year old Italian actor Silvio Muccino:

1) He’s hot. 2) He’s talented 3) His brother is director Gabriele Muccino who we know from “L’ultimo Bacio“, “Seven Pounds“, and “The Pursuit of Happiness“. He started acting in his brother’s movies, but has since branched out and I hope we’ll start seeing him in the US. You can rent or buy his “Ricordati di me“, directed by his brother, or you can do what I’ve been telling you to do and buy a region free DVD player so you can get movies like “Manuale D’amore and the hilarious Il Mio Miglior Nemico (My best enemy) with Carlo Verdone. In 2008 he made his debut as a director with the movie Parlami d’amore.

Below is a very romantic scene from “Manuale D’amore” with Silvio and Jasmine Trinca (from La Meglio Gioventù and La Stanza Del Figlio ). There aren’t subtitles, but here’s what’s going on: he’s in love with her and telling her he could never be ” just friends”. She’ wondering why she’s giving him such a hard time, and she forgets her purse and calls him back, he thinks that she’s decided to give him a chance.
