I’m taking a day off from posting tomorrow in honor of Christmas, and this is my Christmas gift to you,
Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo.
If only I could be in Rome, going to the Adriano Multisala on Piazza Cavour to see this silly movie. It stars the trio that you can’t help loving, even when their movies really stink (and sometimes they really do).
There are no subtitles here – sorry – this one is in the theaters in Italy now. But I think that you can get enough with the universal language of yelling, hand waving, hitting, slapping and bathroom humor.
It’s not going to win a David di Donatello award, but I still wish I could see it!
La Banda Dei Babbi Natale – “The Santa Claus Gang” – Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo get mistaken for burglars. Wearing Santa Claus suits. (I know. I don’t get it yet either.)
