Here’s some good news from Yahoo Cinema – Woody Allen wasn’t kidding about putting Italian actors in the cast of the movie he’s making in Rome this summer. Super handsome Riccardo Scamarcio ( Mio Fratello è Figlio Unico), Sergio Rubini (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Qualunquemente), Rocco Papaleo (Basilicata Coast to Coast, Nessuno mi Può Giudicare) and Massimo Ghini (Tutta la Vita Davanti) will join Roberto Benigni for the film with the working title “Bop Decameron”. He’d already previously announced the American actors in the cast, Alec Baldwin, Ellen Page, Penelope Cruz, Jesse Eisenberg and Judy Davis and in the role of “American tourist” will be me – just kidding, but I will be in Rome when it starts filming this August and I’ll see if I can nose around the set.
It’s going to be a romantic comedy in four episodes, two with the Italians and two with the “foreigners” and Woody said that it will be half English and half Italian.
