From mymovies.it : Good news for This Must Be the Place and for its director, Italian Paolo Sorrentino. Weinstein Company, who last year released The King’s Speech and The Fighter, will distribute This Must Be The Place in th US this fall.
This Must Be The Place premiered at Cannes and tells the story of an ex-rock star, played by Sean Penn, who goes in search of the Nazi that tortured his father in a concentration camp. The film is a co-production with Banca Intesa, benefiting for the first time from the new financing rules in Italian Cinema that will give incentives to the industry through tax credits and shelters.
This is the first film by Sorrrentino, who directed Il Divo, that will be made in the English language. Others in the cast: Frances McDormand, Judd Hirsch, and Harry Dean Stanton.
