Starring the real deal, Isabella Ragonese, and shooting star award winner Michele Riondino Ten Winters is the romantic story about two young lovers who aren’t exactly star-crossed, but take “ten winters” to get it together. Filmed in Venice and Moscow, it’s gorgeous in a stark and icy, wintry way, and Ragonese and Riondino are wonderful as the insecure young people. Sometimes this kind of love story with all the sexual tension and taking forever to bring the couple together drives me crazy, but this one feels authentic.
