Italian director Paolo Sorrentino’s This Must Be The Place, the soon to be released English language movie starring Sean Penn takes it name from a song from The Talking Heads – and David Byrne, of The Talking Heads, gives the film its soundtrack. The soundtrack album has six songs (five original) credited to the Pieces Of Shit, a group that isn’t really a group but just a collaboration by Byrne, Gary Oldham, who wrote the lyrics, and Michael Brunnock, who sang the songs.
The soundtrack includes a live cover of the 1984 song, This Must Be The Place, sung by Byrne, who plays himself in the movie.
