As intense as Filippo Timi was in Vincere (a little scary, actually), that’s how funny he was in Missione di Pace, so I’m eagerly anticipating his new film, Com’è Bello Far L’amore (how beautiful to make love). Directed by Fausto Brizzi, critically acclaimed from his Nessuno Mi Può Giudicare, this will be Italy’s first comedy filmed in 3D “with the intent to laugh about sex and about ourselves. Said Brizzi: “The laughter is used to reveal all the hypocrisy of sex around a classic Italian family. We abandon the old ‘si fa ma non si dice e, soppratutto si vede’ (we do it but we don’t talk about it and above all we see it.)”
Also starring Fabio De Luigi and Claudia Gerini it opens February 2012 and I may have to get over to Italy just to see this one.
