Forget Cannes. Who needs Venice or Sundance? I’ve got Cleveland, because I live in Cleveland, and we have a film festival. Here’s the email I got today:
Be Carried Away at the 36th Cleveland International Film Festival, March 22 – April 1, 2012 at Tower City Cinemas. With approximately 150 feature films and 130 short subject films representing more than 60 countries, there will be something for everyone!
Programming will be announced at www.clevelandfilm.org in late February, with Program Guides hitting the streets the first week of March. Tickets go on sale to CIFF members on Friday, March 2nd and to non-members on Friday, March 9th. Memberships and CIFF gift certificates (good for memberships, CIFF tickets, merchandise, and Film Feast events) are available year-round.
For more information, please visit www.clevelandfilm.org or call 216.623.3456.
And if there are any of you in my part of the country or anyoe who would like to travel to my part of the country (I won’t mislead you – there is very little reason to travel to my part of the country) please let me know. We could all get together and screen an Italian movie together – have dinner in Little Italy! I’ll let you know when the program is published.
