Get your calendars out – do it now – and mark these dates – June 8 – 14, 2012. In New York City at Lincoln Center there’s an annual film festival for Italian film lovers called Open Roads; New Italian Cinema.
Open Roads: New Italian Cinema is organized by The Film Society of Lincoln Center together with Cinecittà Luce- Filmitalia and the support of the Ministero per i Beni e le Attivitá Culturali (minister of culture) in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of New York.
It’s important to note that this is not a Fellini film festival – it’s new Italian cinema – the stuff that I love. In past years some really big names have shown up, like Carlo Verdone and Antonio Albanese.
