Well look at you, Riccardo Scamarcio! You’re going to be all over American theaters this year!
He’ll be in Woody Allen’s Nero Fiddled (called one of the top ten anticipated films of 2012), Ash Baron-Cohen’s The Blind Bastard Club (about blind people who live dangerously), and a British period piece written by Emma Thompson, Effie, about the mysterious relationship between Victorian art critic John Ruskin and his teenage bride Effie Gray.
He’s part of a pretty interesting cast, with Emma, herself, Dakota Fanning, Robbie Coltrane, and Julie Walters – Dakota Fanning plays Effie.
Due to open in the UK in June of 2012, it’s Emma Thompson’s first original script and it was filmed partially in Venice.
Take a look at the very good-looking Scarmarcio, Victorian-style.
