I propose Italian “Razzie” Awards; after all, they’re not all David di Donatello winners, but they might deserve a prize!

Adam Sandler won the award no actor wants but usually deserves Sunday evening – the “Razzie” for the worst movie of the year, Jack and Jill. Sandler’s “comedy” swept all 10 categories at the ceremony, which annually honors the worst in film over the previous year. And here’s something extra special: It was the first time in the 32-year history of the Razzies that one movie won all of the awards.

So even though I love Italian movies, and you know I do, they’re not always exactly a David di Donatello or Academy Award winner, but they might win some other kind of prize.

If Italy already has its own version of the Razzies I don’t know about them – so tell me! Otherwise, I’m making my own and I’d like your help. I am officially accepting nominations for the first annual 2012 Italian Movie Razzie awards. Nominations will be announced later in the week, so I need your input ASAP.
