“Riccardo Scamarcio” is by far the search engine search term that most often brings people to this blog and I wish I had news about him every day. Scamarcio is good looking and talented but for reasons that escape me has not made the big international splash in films as he should have.He’s in Woody Allen’s new To Rome With Love (a small part) and 2 English language films are on deck (Emma Thompson’s “Effie” and Ash Baron Cohen’s “The Blind Bastards Club“). Loose Cannons is about a gay son (Scamarcio) who wants to come out to his family, but gets sidetracked when his brother beats him to the punch and announces that he too, is gay. “One gay son gave Dad a heart attack – two would kill him”.
