There’s a huge archive of video documentary – 50 years worth – from Istituto Luce that is now available on YouTube through Google.
In terms of video archive, no one beats the Istituto Luce. Forty years of Italian history are contained in the Cinegiornale (Cinema Journal) and in the “Settimana Incom” the short films and news stories shown in the old days at the movies before the main attraction. Now, the collection is available on YouTube thanks to an agreement with Luce Cinecittà and Google. Check it out here.
