Good news😄: Checco Zalone’s new movie has a title and will begin filming in May: Sole a Catinelle (which means, very loosely translated, “lots of sun”) was written with Gennaro Nunziante, who also helped him earn a whopping €45 with Che Bella Giornata.Â
Bad News😩: Not a single Italian film on the Berlinale lineup, in or out of competition.
Good News😄: I just made an order to ibs.it and a movie I saw and loved at Open Roads: New Italian Cinema in New York last year, Andre Segre’s Io Sono Li will be available on January 23.
Bad News😩: I’m home from Rome and can’t go to Italian movie theaters any more!
