Riccardo Scamarcio’s Filming With Paul Haggis

I’ve been waiting forever for two English language movies that Riccardo Scamarcio is supposedly in, Effie, directed by Emma Thompson, and The Blind Bastards Club, which has a (????) after the listing on imdb.com, and the cast list is gone.

But don’t despair, Scamarcio fans: A new movie, with a status of “filming” on imdb.com, The Third Person starring Scamarcio, Mila Kunis, Liam Neeson, Olivia Wilde, and Adrien Brody is described as “three interlocking love stories involving three couples in three Cities: Rome, Paris, and New York”.

From an earlier description of The Third Person, “it’s believed each relationship is viewed independently from one another, with one relationship marking the beginning of love, the other marking the journey of love, and the last couple is said to be on the verge of a divorce”. Is it just me, or does this sound like America’s version of Manuale D’Amore?

There’s not a lot of details that Haggis gave up about the characters, but we do know the whole film is expected to be shot in Rome with the New York and Paris segments faked. It’s said that Neeson’s character is a journalist, Kunis’ character is an ex soap opera actress, Franco’s an artist, and Wilde, who will be playing Neeson’s love interest, is a gossip columnist.
