They’re saying it’s “along the lines of ‘Saw‘”; the new slasher film, filmed in English and made for only 106,000 euro was produced by one of Italy’s best actors, Luca Argentero, and his wife Myriam Catania.
To promote the movie, Argentero and the director, Simone Gandolfo, created a blog that mirrored a blog in the storyline, one in which followers were invited to post pictures of evil things. In the film, four kids, Nina, Cristian, Giulia and Marco win the contest for posting the most evil thing and are sent an email of the date and place to collect their prize in a remote location in the mountains. (You’d think kids would know better by now, than to go to a remote location for a contest like this – after watching other horror movies; wouldn’t you?)
It opened two days ago in Rome and I’ll be watching for its arrival here in the states! I don’t suppose that, if it arrives, it will be prohibited to children under 14 like it is in Italy.
