Matteo Garrone’s ‘Reality’ Coming To New York March 4

REALITY is coming to New York, you lucky New Yorkers! It’s up to you to go to see it, ALL OF YOU, so that the rest of us may get a chance. Director Matteo Garrone will be at the screening in person!

Reality won the Grand Prize of the Jury at Cannes and was nominated for the Palme D’Or. Aniello Arena plays Luciano, and the critics loved him, but he couldn’t go to Cannes because he’s in prison for life and was only able to act in the movie through a prison release program.

The fascination that the reality show “Big Brother” holds for a Luciano, a Neapolitan fishmonger transforms into a life-altering, disturbing obsession in Garrone’s latest, most biting take on contemporary Italian society.
