It’s time to start thinking about the Italian Academy Award, the David Di Donatello, and the list of films in competition is a fun one. Here it is, from the Accademia del Cinema Italiano. I’ve added my notes to this one, but if you want to make your own check list, THERE’S A BLANK ONE HERE.
The award ceremony is later than usual this year (June 14) and I haven’t heard when the nominations will be announced – anybody know?
If you see a star ❤ that means I like the film’s chances for nominations. A ☐ means I haven’t seen it yet and need to check that box off my list. If I’ve reviewed the movie I’ve included the link.
With a few exceptions, if I haven’t written a review it’s because it’s not out on DVD yet and I haven’t had the chance to see it.
