Best actress, the David di Donatello awards 2013, Margherita Buy is 51 and still going strong. This is her sixth David, and since Anna Magnani only won 2 in her whole career, some are asking if 6 is too many, and the Italian press is buzzing about how a relatively inconsequential American film website said that she is “not the Italian Meryl Streep”.
What do you even say to a criticism like that? A little more respect, please, for an actress who is over 51 and still kicking ass.
Margherita is amazing and deserves every David (6), Golden Globe (5),and Golden Ciak (11) that she’s been given.
