Who needs Brangelina when you’ve got Valardo; the power couple with the mismatched age in Italy, Valeria Golino and Riccardo Scamarcio. are still going strong. There have been misteps on Riccardo’s part but even though she’s 13 years older and there are rumors about her infidelities as well, the couple shows no signs of going the way of Demi and Ashton. Valeria and Riccardo have been together for 7 years, so God bless ’em. I saw Riccardo on stage as Romeo in Romeo e Giulietta in Rome and most of the audience was screaming and crying young women, so continued good luck with all that, Valeria.
Lately, Valeria’s been directing as well as acting with Riccardo credited as a producer of her movie, Miele, and they won a prize at Cannes for it.
And then there’s Paoleala, the marriage of creativity and beauty, Micaela Ramazzotti and Paolo Virzì, 15 years her senior. The director cast his lovely and talented wife in La Prima Cosa Bella (The First Beautiful Thing), and today, 2 kids and 4 years later, they seem a happy couple.
