I Want To Go To Montreal!

The World Film Festival in Montreal will have a strong Italian showing this year, with two Italian films in competition and tons more out of competition. Montreal is not so far from me, and I would have gone if the Venice Film Festival wasn’t next week. This is one of the strongest collections of Italian films I’ve seen outside Italy.

Read about all the films in the article from Cineuropa

Cha cha cha by Marco Risi and Itaker by Toni Trupia are in competition, but this is your chance, Canadians, to see the winner of the Rome Film Festival, Paolo Franchi’s  ‘E la Chiamano Estate’ and Giorgio Diritti’s ‘Un Giorno Deve Andare’.

The  37th edition of the festival opens today and will run through September 2 – bad timing Montreal! Next year schedule it before or after Venice, and I will be there!
