I was just wondering what was going on with Giuseppe Tornatore’s ‘La Migliore Offerta’ (The Best Offer) and was nosing around to see if I could find out anything about US distribution. In January it had been reported that a deal with Sony was in “advanced stages” but I heard nothing after that.
Thanks, Cineuropa.org for letting us know about La Migliore Offerta’s success worldwide; it’s made $16 million internationally so far having made over $12 million in Italy,
So why haven’t we here in America been given the chance to see the Tornatore’s “keep you guessing” mystery about European art auction? Starring Geoffrey Rush, Jim Sturgess, Sylvia Hoeks and Donald Sutherland, I saw the film on its opening day in Rome this past January and was pretty excited, sure that it would be a big hit in the US.

So what gives, Sony? Can anybody give us a release date?
