La Stampa reports that Sharon Stone’s Italian has improved, and it will be her own voice that we’ll hear speaking the language in her Italian film debut, Ragazzo D’Oro, also starring the very good-looking Riccardo Scarmarcio and the adorable Cristina Capotondi. Riccardo plays a publisher from Milan that tries to publish his father’s autobiography after his father’s suicide. Engaged to Cristina’s character, he is seduced and becomes infatuated by Sharon Stone’s.
So how was is it, the 55-year-old ( a little older than his girlfriend, Valeria Golino) doing love scenes with 34-year-old Scamarcio?
We really have to ask?
“He’s a great guy, lots of fun. We did some scenes on the telephone. And since we both have very deep voices, we decided to use each other’s voices for our phone messages…I’m a fan of Pope Francis, Italian film, and Riccardo Scamarcio.
For Scamarcio’s part, he admitted to be so full of emotion that he was “almost paralyzed” shooting his first scene with her, and that he had a hard time even saying his lines. “At one point I stopped and said, “Excuse me but I’m having a hard time not thinking about the fact that I’m really talking to Sharon Stone!”
“I love the sensitivity in Pupi’s way of directing the actors”, said Stone. “And Scamarcio really is a golden boy.”
Well, we already knew that!
