Checco Zalone’s ‘Sole A Catinelle’ Has Hit The Theaters: “Next Time I’ll Be Really Bad”

Can Checco Zalone ( the stage name of Luca Medici ) keep his winning streak? After the successes of his first two films, Cado Dalle Nubi, which earned 14,000,000 , and the really big hit Che Bella Giornata, which earned a record 44,000,000 at the box office (more than La Vita È Bella in Italy), he’s in Italian theaters again.

Sole A Catinelle opened yesterday in a record number of 1200  theaters and producer Pietro Valsecchi is hopeful; “It was an expensive film to make, it took two years, but I’m happy because I heard laughs and applause during the press screening and so our excitement really grew”.

When someone at the press conference accused this film of having “excessive goodness”  Zalone answered, “In the first two films there were two delicate themes, racism and homosexuality, but those have been exhausted. Next time I’ll be really bad.”

Sole A Cantinelle is about a guy whose wife has just left him and is broke, but manages to give his son the vacation of a lifetime with yachts and golf and new age resorts.
