It opened on 1200 screens in Italy: Checco Zalone’s ‘Sole A Catinelle’ and has already earned 18 million euro with projected earnings at 50-60€.
To put this into perspective, his last movie Che Bella Giornata opened in its first weekend with about 12 million euro and went on to make a whopping 43 million, more than Italy’s previous top earner, Roberto Benigni’s ‘La Vita È Bella. And in Italy, that is pretty whopping.
