Having proclaimed her The Real Deal back in 2011, I’d begun to think I may have been wrong about Isabella Ragonese. After three great films that showed up at American film festivals, ‘La Nostra Vita’, ‘Il Primo Incarico’ and ‘Dieci Inverni’, she appeared in a couple of disappointments (‘Il Giorno in Più and ‘Un Altro Mondo’) and then I didn’t hear much about her for a while.
Turns out she’s just made a movie that’s getting an award at the Torino Film Festival called La Sedia Della Felicità from director Carlo Mazzacurati. and she’s be starring in Mario Martone’s newest, Il Giovane Favoloso with Elio Germano.

And while she’s not acting, she’s on stage with singer Cristina Donà with their original “reading concert” called ‘Italia Numbers’, stories about the difficulties of being a woman in Italy. Doesn’t look like something that I’d pay admission for, but see for yourself:
