Ivano De Matteo did such a good job with Gli Equilibristi (Balancing Act) in 2012, which premiered and earned a best actor award for Valerio Mastandrea at the Venice Film Festival; I can’t wait to see what he does with Herman Koch’s dark story, The Dinner.
De Matteo’s I Nostri Ragazzi (Our children) will be based on Koch’s book, about two couples with a horrible decision that they must make concerning their children one evening over dinner.
I Nostri Ragazzi will star Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Alessandro Gassman, Barbora Bobulova, and my favorite, Luigi Lo Cascio in the role of the four adults, and Jacopo Olmo Antinori ( from Bertolucci’s Io E Te) and Rosabell Laurenti Sellers (from Gli Equilibristi) as the kids.
