Join Me In New York For Open Roads: New Italian Cinema

Join us on Facebook, and in New York, for an I Love Italian Movies event: Open Roads, New Italian Cinema.

Join us! And like us on Facebook!

I’m like a kid at Christmas, waiting for my favorite film festival, Open Roads: New Italian Cinema. Open Roads is an amazing opportunity to see films not otherwise distributed in the United States, many times WITH the director or actors. In past years I’ve been there for fascinating Q&As with Ferzan Ozpetek, Marco Bellocchio, Paola Cortellesi, and Andrea Segre.

Exibit A: Me with Ferzan Ozpetek.

This year’s lineup looks fun; I’ve seen almost all of the movies but I can’t wait for the Q&As with  directors Roberto Andò, Daniele Luchetti, and Gianfranco Rosi. From June 5-12, 2014 at New York City’s Lincoln Center, the Film Center At Lincoln Center will host them and others and I hope you can join us for the films and for a drink. Let’s meet each other!

Open Roads has served as the leading North American showcase of contemporary Italian cinema for the past 13 years. Presale tickets for Film Society Members go on sale May 13 and for the general public, May 22.  Go to their website for for prices and the lineup. And then join us! If you can go, let us know. Join the group on Facebook and meet us for a drink.
