I credit Luigi Lo Cascio for turning me on to Italian movies, but I should include an actress,
Sandra Ceccarelli, his co-star in the first Italian film I ever saw in an Italian theater, La Vita Che Vorrei.
I must have watched La Vita Che Vorrei a couple dozen times and it’s still one of my favorites. Sandra is perfect playing the self-serving actress, and the “love” story with Lo Cascio is romantic and disturbing all at once.
