About a year ago wrote about the new movie that Pupi Avati was making starring Cristiana Capotondi, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Sharon Stone, of all people. Called Ragazzo D’Oro (Golden Boy), it was reportedly about an engaged guy (Scamarcio) who travels from his home in Milan to Rome to finish his deceased father’s autobiography and gets seduced by an older “vixen”, played by Stone. (I guess poor Cristiana plays the cheated on fiancé.)
When I never heard another thing about it I figured that it was one of those movies that would never materialize, but I was wrong. Not only is Ragazzo D’Oro scheduled for release, everyone is saying that it’s a sure thing for the Venice Film Festival next month. They say that Sharon, who plays an American, did OK with the language and the movie’s not half bad. We’ll see.
Should be hot; I’ll say that much.
