Born July 15, 1982 in Castiglione del Lago, Perugia, actress Laura Chiatti entered the Miss Teenager Europa contest in the singing category and got the “wrong” prize; she ended up being crowned Miss Teenager Europa 1996.
After starring in a popular Italian TV show and some commercials, Paolo Sorrentino noticed her and put her in his film L’Amico di Famiglia (The Family Friend). From there she’s proved again and again that she is not just a beautiful “flavor or the month”, starring with Riccardo Scamarcio in the popular romantic movie, Ho Voglio di Te, and as Lara in Carlo Verdone’s Io, Loro, e Lara.
In 2012, Laura starred in the critically acclaimed Romanzo di Una Strage (Piazza Fontana: The Italian Conspiracy) from director Marco Tulio Giorndana.
My favorite is her role in Pappi Corsicato’s surreal and campy Il Volto di Un’Altra.
