If Kasia Smutniak doesn’t sound like an Italian name, it’s because it’s not, but Kasia has really been making a name for herself in Italian cinema.
Smutniak, from Poland and a former model, seems to be in everything these days and wins awards for her performances. She won the Nastro D’Argento for best actress for her performance in Ferzan Ozpetek’s Allacciate le Cinture.
We’ll soon see her in the Taviani Brother’s exciting new project Maraviglioso Boccaccio, along with Riccardo Scamarcio, Jasmine Trinca, and Kim Rossi Stuart.
