Thanksgiving in Rome! Here are some things I am thankful for.

I’m thankful for the cinema artists like Francesco Bruni and Paolo Virzì who are trying to save Trastevere’s Cinema America.

I’m thankful that Paolo Virzi made Stephen Amidon’s book, Human Capital into the movie Il Capitale Umano, who put my favorite actor, Luigi Lo Cascio, in it, and that it was Italy’s submission to the Oscar’s this year!

 

I’m thankful for my husband, Brian,who just told me that he is thankful for Italian films that take such a human interest in the stories they tell!
