I’ve been urging Italian directors to make an Italian version of While You Were Sleeping for years now, and I still think it would be a great idea. My (imaginary) cast would include Riccardo Scamarcio as the sleeping Peter, Edoardo Leo as his brother, Jack, and Cristiana Capotondi as the lonely, lovesick Lucy. who rescues Peter, this time at Roma Termini.
This idea is GOLD, by the way, so, Daniele Luchetti, this is MY GIFT TO YOU and you owe me no royalties when you direct this and it makes 50 million dollars.

I need a project for Luigi Lo Cascio and I think Wedding Crashers is it. Though you usually see Luigi in dramas, he is absolutely hilarious in funny scenes and I see him teamed up with Alessandro Gassman as the womanizing buddies who crash weddings and Luigi as the one who accidentally falls in love with Valeria Solarino. This movie would be even better with ITALIAN weddings, vero? The director? How about Smetto Quando Voglio’s Sydney Sibilia.

For a remake of Legally Blonde; we just need a beautiful, bubbly girl and I’m giving the part to Greta Scarano from Senza Nessuna Pietà. The plot needs a little tweaking for an Italian audience, but as soon as I finish figuring out the Italian university scene and where this movie should take place, it will be great. Let’s give the part of her snobby boyfriend to Jacopo Olmo Antinori and director Ivano Cotroneo, this one’s for you. The guy you fall in love with, the Luke Wilson part, I’d give to that cute Lorenzo Richelmy.
Il Partito di Bachelor (?)
Do Italians have depraved, drunken, bachelor’s parties? If this is a reference that Italians would get, The Hangover would be very funny with Stefano Fresi, Pif, Kim Rossi Stuart and Edoardo Leo as the out of control buddies. Pif can star and direct this one, if he doesn’t mind.
La Bella Donna
I have never been a fan of the movie Pretty Woman; I mean, she’s a prostitute, and I’ve never really appreciated the warm and fuzzy feelings so many of you have for Julia Roberts. But let’s give this an Italian accent and maybe I’ll like it better. My pretty woman would be the adorable star of Alessandro Rossetto’s Piccola Patria, Maria Roveran, and the rich guy that comes to her rescue, Raoul Bova. Antonio Piazza, you direct this and maybe this time it won’t be such a sentimental mess.
