Italian filmmakers are beginning to see the fun and the value in tweeting.
When we first started watching for Italian directors and actors on Twitter, it wasn’t a very exciting endeavor. Most didn’t tweet at all and the ones who did either did it rarely or tweeted political stuff we didn’t get.
That’s changing.
It’s not like we want you to go all Kardashian on us, Italians, like Kim with her 18.9K mind-numbing tweets; we don’t care what you had for breakfast or what you are wearing today. But we DO want to hear about your new projects.
The I Love Italian Movies Twitter List, ‘Follow The Stars’ has 81 members, some who are actors and directors, some just really great fan sponsored, and some are film accounts.
First, make sure you are following @Italian_Movies, and then FOLLOW THE STARS.
Particularly interesting follows right now:
Film account and director, Laura Bispuri, of the new film Vergine Giurata, Sworn Virgin, coming to the Tribeca Film Fest:
Carolina Crescentini, from the new Taviani Brothers’ film, Maraviglioso Boccaccio
Alessandro Gassman, always up to something.
Director Francesca Archibugi, from Il Nome Del Figlio
