Sara trained as a modern dancer, which helped her pull off looking like a winning synchronized swimmer, but she’d never done it before making the film!

#8 She has no idea how famous she is!

When I told Sara how we all had seen and loved Salvo, she was genuinely surprised and delighted. “In America?”, she asked me? “People know me in America?” In the end, she says, “I don’t want to be famous. I just want to make great cinema.”

#7 She’s from Pescara

She left her family and her hometown of Pescara and arrived in Rome with nothing, but hard work paid off. She’s got a mom, dad, and older sister who is studying to become a doctor.

#6 She’s had a boyfriend for a year.

#5 She spent time with blind women for her role as the blind Rita in Salvo

As this was her first role, she gives all the credit for her amazing performance to her directors, Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza.

#4 She’s studying English and would like to do more English language films and is trying to learn how to speak without an accent.

She’s recently made the English language movie, Francesco, also starring Rutger Hauer and Mateusz Kosciukiewicz.

Sundance is crazy and comfortable, but not glamorous (Cloro premiered there), The Berlinale is a little more glamorous (Cloro was presented there), but Cannes is very, very glamorous (Salvo was presented there).

#2 A goal? To work with Martin Scorsese! 

She’s a natural for Scorsese.
