The Nastri D’Argento Awards 101

It’s one of the oldest cinema awards in the word, given out by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists, the association of Italian film critics.

In fact, they are the oldest film awards in Europe, and they’ll be given out tomorrow at the Teatro Antico in Taormina. We announced the 5 candidates for each category of the “Silver Ribbons” on May 29.

Just this morning a winner was announced: Noi E La Giulia is this year’s BEST COMEDY. Noi E La Giulia was directed by Edoardo Leo and stars Leo, Luca Argentero, Carlo Buccirosso, Anna Foglietta, and Stefano Fresi.
