This Year More Than Ever The Awards Are Merited And The Competition Fierce
When I first started watching Italian award shows they were fun, but not very exciting. There wasn’t much opposition for the winners and the main controversy was over the whole thing seeming like one popularity contest after another.
But now, great films, great directors, great actors, and lots of other talented people compete and they are exciting.

The Nastro (Ribbon) of the Year went to Il Giovane Favoloso (Leopardi), Mario Martone, Elio Germano, Ippolita Di Majo, Carlo Degli Esposti
