Venice Film Festival 2015: Can We Expect Marco Bellocchio?

2012 Golden Lion for Career Achievement winner Marco Bellocchio is more than likely to compete for the Venice’s top prize this year.

Directed and screenplay written by Bellocchio (Dormant Beauty), the cinematography by Daniele Ciprì (Salvo) and starring Alba Rohrwacher and FIlippo Timi, Sangue Del Mio Sangue (Blood of my Blood) looks like a winner.

Sangue del mio Sangue is inspired by a true story of a 17th century noble woman who becomes a nun, and then is accused of being a witch after seducing a young army officer and his twin brother, a priest. (Whoa.)

The story continues centuries later in the same location, a building that is housing a mysterious count that only comes out at night.

(Double whoa.)

Allora Daniele, siete pronti per Venezia? Io, sì!
