She’s beautiful, talented, very sweet, and she’s the NEXT BIG THING, so help me wish Greta Scarano a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I met her at last year’s Venice Film Festival at the debut of the sensational Senza Nessuna Pietà, directed by her boyfriend Michele Alhaique and also starring Pierfrancesco Favino and Adriano Giannini.
In it, Greta plays “Tanya” a young prostitute who has delivered to a by Mimmo (Favino), but he sees that she’s in trouble and comes to her rescue.
There’s a “beauty and the beast” quality to Mimmo and Tanya’s love story, as Tanya begins to care for him and then literally cares for him when he is punished for going against the family. They are an odd couple, but the chemistry is there and when they meet, you can see the relief in their eyes. In their “hard-knock lives, they’d never considered that they might find someone who actually want the best for them.
In the soon to be released (October 14) Suburra, Greta stars again with Favino, and also Elio Germano in a story about Rome and the plans to develop the Roman water-front into a new Las Vegas. “Suburra” was the part of ancient Rome where all the criminals hung out and powerful people met with them.
Tanti Auguri Greta, you are the “GIRL MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED”.
