Luca Guadagnino, the director of I Am Love and A Bigger Splash is making a remake of Argento’s Suspiria.
“I don’t know how he’ll do the remake. I haven’t read the script, but I know that Luca Guadagnino knows my work inside out,” said master of horror Dario Argento. “He’s passionate about this film of mine, and so I hope that he won’t let me down.”
There’s a big online buzz about the remake of Suspiria, and not all good. Some are critical that Guadagnino was chosen, and not Argento’s daughter Asia to direct the remake, but Argento seems unfazed. He says he’s not a generally a fan of remakes, but that Guadagnino is so passionate about the 1977 Suspiria and he’s ready trust him with his film.
