“La Vita In Comune (The Life In Common) is a film…in common. You can be part of the little community of Disperata, helping to make this project possible and you can experience the emotions of the film, receiving exclusive video tidbits directly from the set. You’ll have my gratitude, with a hundred surprises, to the ends of the earth!” says director Edoardo Winspeare, as he launches his Crowdshare and promotes his new film.
The mayor of Disperata releases his appeal to the entire world to help resolve the confusions in their small but ancient town.
La Vita In Comune will be backed in addition by Saietta Film and Rai Cinema, and it’s the story of an unlikely friendship between an honest (but depressed) mayor (of Disperata) and two doofus criminals, and how from this friendship grew the will to live and passion for beautiful things for the community.
In the cast, Gustavo Caputo, Antonio Carluccio, Claudio Giangreco, Celeste Casciaro, Davide Riso and Barbara De Matteis.
“The film is a comedy that tells about situations that are very serious with very realistic characters that firmly believe (sometimes unfortunately so) in what they do”, explains Winspeare. We’ll tell the story of a group of people with paradoxical personalities and at the same time, I believe, very plausible in the area of lower Salento. This little town of Disperato is on the “land’s end of Italy”, or as Carmelo Bene said, “Sud del sud dei Santi”, South of the south of the saints, where, because they are so far from the central government that it creates naturally original personalities.”
Winspeare is the director of the award-winning In grazia di Dio (Quiet Bliss).
