Davide (Edoardo Leo), storms into a publisher’s office with a manuscript he wants him to read; he first asks politely, then he pulls out a gun.

“OK, OK, leave it and I’ll read it.”

But no, he needs the money in a few hours, and he’s not leaving the manuscript;  he’ll read it to him.

It’s the autobiography of a man who, fallen prey to a con artist, Marcello (Marco Giallini), loses everything; his house, his girlfriend, and all his money. Not ready to take it lying down, Davide decides to track down Marcello and get even. But who is this mystery man? A little detective work leads Davide to a rock band called “Loro Chi?” (Them Who?), a cult band that only performs at secret pop-up shows.

So the jig’s up (or is it?).  Davide and Marcello develop a relationship that is mutually beneficial and a lot of fun to watch.  Directors Fabio Bonifacci, Francesco Miccichè have created something really special here; a sophisticated, hilarious, goof-ball comedy that’s cleverly interlaced with surprises and non-stop action.

Edoardo Leo is truly becoming one of the best actors in Italy. He’s handsome as all get out, and could have rested on his laurels, in that regard, like some really handsome actors have done (or are capable of doing). But Edoardo obviously wants and delivers much more. He could be the romantic lead in all the movies, but he’s interested in something more.

Just to make sure I’ve pulled out all the usual comedy movie cliche adjectives for this one; it’s rollicking good fun. It really is.
