Your Guide To #Venezia73

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: At Venezia 68 I ran past George Clooney to get to Silvio Orlando. I don’t go to Venice for the Hollywood stars.

The 73rd edition of the Venice Film Festival is about a month away and I still know very little about what I’ll find there this year, but as I gather information I’ll be posting it on the newly installed widget on the sidebar that looks like this:

The line-up will be announced during the official press conference to be held in Rome on  July28th, this coming Thursday.

The members of the international juries are HERE, along with biographies for all.

U.S. director Damien Chazelle’s “La La Land,” starring Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, John Legend and J.K. Simmons, will be the opening film.

Rumor has it that we could see Giuseppe Piccioni’s newest,  Questi Giorni starring Margherita Buy, Maria Roveran and Marta Gastini, about a group of small town girls.

Also mentioned, Daniele Vicari with Sole, Cuore, Amore, about the friendship of two women who have taken different paths in life (Isabella Ragonese and Eva Grieco).

Also, and HOPEFULLY, Ivano De Matteo with La Vita Possibile, starring Valeria Golino and Margherita Buy.
