This one looks like an Italian-American crowd-pleaser!
New York 1942. While the world is consumed by the Second World War Arturo (Pif, Pierfrancesco Diliberto) Arturo has moved to America to seek his fortune and is in the middle of a troubled love affair with Flora (Miriam Leone). They love each other, but she’s been promised in marriage to the son of a big mob boss. To walk down the aisle, Arturo has to get the blessing from Flora’s father who lives in a small town in Sicily.

Arturo, young and penniless, has only one way to get there; join up in the American Army and get ready to leave for Sicily, and even that will change the history of Sicily, the mafia, and all of Italy forever.
The storyline for In Guerra Per Amore (means literally “at war for the sake of love”) sounds especially promising given Pif’s talent for mixing comedy with history, as he did in the truly entertaining La Mafia Uccide Solo D’Estate (The Mafia Only Kills In The Summer), about the years that led up to Italy’s infamous Maxi-Trials.
