I found out from 34042 miles over the Atlantic ocean that Indivisibili from director Edoardo De Angelis wins the Pasinetti Prize!
Awarded by the SNGCI (Sindacato Nazionale Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani) for BEST FILM, there was a special mention for beautiful young stars, Angela and Marianna Fontana.
Playing conjoined twins Dasy and Viola who have have been supporting their family ever since Papà figured out they could sing, twins Marianna and Angela stunned Venice audiences with their extraordinarily accomplished film debut.
The talented Dasy and Viola are part pop stars and part side-show geeks, making them extremely marketable and the breadwinners for a family that seems intent in wasting every penny they make.
There’s already an Oscar buzz around this film, and I certainly wouldn’t complain if Indivisibile went to the Academy Awards for Italy.
