No, it’s not a fashion statement; it’s a movie.

When I met Alessandro Borghi at the Venice Film Festival this year the first words out of my mouth were, “What’s with the hair?” (I know! I’m smooth! Do I know how to talk to movie stars or what?)
Turns out he’s not joining a hair band, he’s in Sergio Castellitto’s new movie, Fortunata, also starring Jasmine Trinca, Stefano Accorsi, Edoardo Pesce and Hanna Schygulla.
Filming in the Roman suburbs, it’s from a screenplay written by (Mrs. Sergio Castellitto) Margaret Mazzatini and is abut a young mother (Trinca) with a failed marriage. Her dream is to open her own beauty shop.
Castellitto says, “Fortunata is an adjective, but it’s also a woman’s name (means “lucky”), but most of all it’s a destiny. That’s not saying that it’s a destiny that one deserves; there are men in this story that don’t agree that Fortunata deserves happiness. We will see…”
