Starring Isabella Ragonese, Valerio Mastandrea, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Silvio Orlando, Antonio Albanese, and Giuseppe Battiston, “The Chair of Happiness” won the Nastro D’Argento of the year, awarded by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists.
It’s a darling film, funny and quirky, about DIno and Bruna, who go on a treasure hunt around northern Italy, on a race to find a very special chair before someone else does. Mazzacurati, sadly, didn’t live long enough to see the release of his film, but he left us with this little gem, a comedy that recalls the old American screwball comedies and does it in a modern way.
Thumbs up, must see, 5 stars, and all that stuff. See it when it comes to:
